A Builder in Every Sense
Micheline Blass Baptiste has spent roughly four decades building—projects, organizations, professionals and institutions. Her career joins civil engineering and architecture with entrepreneurship, executive management and education, giving her the practical perspective of someone who understands both how plans are designed and how they are carried through.
From Engineer to Executive
As Chief Executive Officer of Caribbean Construction (CARICON) from 1999 to 2020, Micheline led a construction company through the realities of planning, execution, supervision and organizational management. Her experience also includes long service within Haiti’s Ministry of Public Works, Transport and Communications and later engineering and architectural work involving rehabilitation and seismic-resistant construction.
Building People as Well as Projects
Her leadership was never limited to physical construction. As co-founder, manager and trainer of the Centre de Formation de Techniciens en Travaux Publics, she spent more than two decades helping develop technicians and construction professionals. She also managed vocational-training initiatives associated with Inter-American Development Bank support and taught technical subjects at the university level.
